2. Principle

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This website provides information about Casa Walser and enables the submission of booking inquiries. We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the operation, security, technical provision, improvement of the website, analysis of website usage and handling of inquiries.

3. Access Data / Server Logs

When you visit this website, technical data is automatically processed by the hosting provider. This may include, in particular, IP address, date and time of access, pages and files accessed, browser information, operating system, device type and referrer URL.

This data is required to ensure the operation, security and stability of the website. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functional website.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website may use technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website, for example for basic functions, language settings, security functions or the technical handling of forms.

In addition, we use Google Analytics if you consent to the use of analytics cookies or comparable technologies. This analysis helps us understand how visitors use the website, which content is relevant and how we can improve the website.

Non-essential cookies and analytics technologies are used only if you have given your prior consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

5. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables us to statistically evaluate the use of our website. Information such as pages viewed, time spent on the website, browser used, device type, approximate geographic origin and interactions with the website may be processed.

Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies or similar identifiers. The information generated may be transmitted to Google servers and processed there. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be completely excluded.

According to Google, IP addresses from users in the EU are discarded before storage and are not logged. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Nevertheless, Google Analytics may process personal or user-related usage data.

Google Analytics is used only on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google’s privacy notices.

6. Booking Inquiries and Forwarding to Wild Valley

On this website, you can submit a booking inquiry for Casa Walser via a form. We process the information you enter, in particular name, email address, telephone number, requested arrival and departure dates, number of guests, message and the confirmations you provide regarding house rules and data forwarding.

The processing is carried out for the purpose of receiving, checking and forwarding your booking inquiry. Final confirmation, reservation and handling are managed by Wild Valley. Your inquiry is therefore forwarded by email to Wild Valley. A copy may be sent to Casa Walser.

By submitting the inquiry, you agree that your details may be forwarded to Wild Valley for the handling of your inquiry. Wild Valley’s own privacy policy also applies to the further processing by Wild Valley.

7. Availability Calendar and Technical Form Validation

To display availability and check booking inquiries, we use an iCal availability calendar from Wild Valley or MyAllocator. When the calendar is loaded and when an inquiry is submitted, occupancy data is technically retrieved in order to check whether the requested period is available according to the current calendar.

The availability calendar does not contain any personal data entered by you. To improve technical stability, the retrieved occupancy data may be cached for a short period of time.

If an inquiry is not sent because the requested period is already blocked or because of another error, the form values you entered may be temporarily stored for a short period of time so that you do not have to complete the form again. This temporary storage serves only user convenience and is time-limited.

8. Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the inquiry form from automated or abusive submissions. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a form submission is likely to come from a human and not from an automated system. For this purpose, a security token is generated in the browser and validated server-side with Cloudflare. Technical data such as IP address, browser and device information and other security-relevant signals may be processed.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security of the website, the protection of the form and the prevention of spam and abuse.

10. Recipients / Data Disclosure

We do not disclose personal data to third parties for our own marketing purposes.

As part of operating the website and handling inquiries, data may be processed by technical or operational service providers, in particular hosting providers, website service providers, Google Analytics if consent has been given, Cloudflare Turnstile for form security and Wild Valley for the handling of booking inquiries.

11. Storage Period

Server log data is stored only for as long as necessary for the operation, security and stability of the website and is then deleted in accordance with the hosting provider’s specifications.

Data related to Google Analytics is stored in accordance with the settings we have selected in Google Analytics and is then deleted or anonymized.

Booking inquiries are stored only for as long as necessary to handle the inquiry, process any booking, communicate with Wild Valley and comply with statutory retention or documentation obligations.

Temporarily stored form values in the case of failed or unavailable inquiries are stored only for a short period and then automatically deleted. Technically cached availability data is also stored only for a short period.

12. Your Rights

Within the scope of applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing and objection to processing. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

For such requests, please contact us at contact@casa-walser.ch.
