A place where you don’t have to do a thing.

Casa Walser is the house my parents built with Luigi Snozzi in 1986. It sits among the vineyard terraces of Loco, overlooks the Onsernone Valley and is built of exposed concrete and glass.

Today, you can stay here. Cook, read, work, sit around the table with friends and gaze outside. Not for a quick overnight stop, but for a while in which the house, the valley and your own rhythm fall into step.

The Onsernone Valley lies a little off the beaten track. That is precisely its appeal. Casa Walser can only be reached on foot. Even the short walk down slows you down. Inside, it is bright and quiet; outside, slopes, rocks and forests stretch deep into the valley.

Some come for a few quiet days away. Others retreat here for a week or two of focused work, far from the office. Others come to hike, eat well and sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine. The house makes room for all of it without asking you to give anything up.

What stays with most people is the same: a few days in a house that simply feels right. Clear spaces, beautiful light, framed views and a landscape that looks different every morning. A place where you don’t have to do a thing.
